The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has awarded Southeast Community College a grant to award scholarships for students concentrating in nuclear-related associate degree programs. This scholarship will help meet our project goal of developing a workforce capable of supporting the design, construction, operation, and regulation of nuclear facilities and the safe handling of nuclear materials.The awards are up to $3,000 per year per eligible student as long as funds are available.Additional information and application materials are available at https://www.southeast.edu/nesp/.

The Nebraska State College Board of Trustees offers full-tuition renewable scholarships at Chadron, Peru, and Wayne State Colleges for students with a minimum 25 ACT Composite score.Applicants must complete an application for admission to the specific college(s), complete a Board of Trustees Scholarship application form, and provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or administrator.Applications are available at www.nscs.edu.Deadline is January 15, 2019.

The Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association offers two scholarships.One scholarship is for a senior planning to become a teacher.Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and have a minimum 22 ACT Composite Score.The other scholarship is for a senior who excels in the fine arts and is planning to major in fine arts in college.Scholarship forms are available at www.nrcsa.net.Deadline is January 25, 2019.

AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) is accepting applications for students who have a passion for service and would like to earn scholarship money.The AmeriCorps NCCC is a full-time 10-month residential national service program for 18-24 year olds.During their service, members are provided housing, food, uniforms, equipment and a modest bi-weekly stipend for personal expenses.If members successfully complete the program, they are awarded a $5,775 Education Award.This award can be used for future tuition costs or to pay back student loans.Additional information may be located at https://www.nationalservice.gov/programs/americorps.
