Horatio Alger Association offers scholarships for seniors planning to obtain a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college or university. RHOP (Rural Health Opportunities Program) is a full-tuition scholarship opportunity designed for Wayne State College students pursuing a career in Medical Lab Science, Dentistry, Dental Hygiene, Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Radiography or Pharmacy and planning to practice in a rural Nebraska setting. RHOP is also offered through Chadron State College in the areas of Medical Lab Science, Dentistry, Dental Hygiene, Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, and Radiography. Peru State College also participates in RHOP in the areas of Medical Lab Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant and Radiography. Wayne State College is partnering with the UNL College of Law to offer the Rural Law Opportunities Program (RLOP). Students interested in attending law school can get pre-admittance to UNL College of Law. As long as recipients keep their Wayne State GPA up and get a good score on the LSAT, they will have a spot saved for them at UNL College of Law.
