School Closure Parent Letter

Parents/Students:

Fillmore Central has determined that School needs to be closed due to the COVID-19 crisis at the end of the day on Tuesday, March 17th.  Teachers and staff will report to work on Wednesday, March 18th.  Here is the expectation’s of students during the time school is closed:

  • Within the first two days of being closed, your teacher(s) will be contacting you (or your parents/guardians).  You will receive instructions on how teaching/learning will look for you.

  • Please stay home as much as possible.  Wash your hands frequently with soap and water.  Drink plenty of fluids.

  • Stay in touch with your teacher(s) often, by the method of communication they ask you to use.  For young students, ask your parents to help you.

  • Teachers will be in their rooms at school between 9:30 and 2:30.  You can arrange to meet them in person when necessary.

  • There will be no athletic/activity practices  and no band concerts, etc.

  • We will use Public Health guidance and other factors to determine when school will be back in session.

  • If you would like us to provide school lunch to your home, we will do so.  Please call or text Dawn Temme at 402-363-9553 or e-mail lunch@fillmorecentral.org either the night before you want lunch or by 8:30 in the morning of the lunch.  Lunch will be delivered sometime between 11:00 and 1:00.

  • We are working to get internet capability to the homes that don’t have it.  It may take us a few days so please be patient. Contact us if there are problems in receiving instruction through the device(s) you are using.

Remember that someday we will be back together again in school.  This is a temporary hardship that we will get through. Everyone is making some sacrifices to keep our most vulnerable people healthy.   We greatly appreciate all of your cooperation and efforts.
