Yesterday was an awesome day for the FC Speech team at the NSAA state meet. FC was able to bring home 4 medals, which included 2 state championships!
Congratulations to Wyatt Nun for winning the C1 Extemporaneous event, the OID Pirates team (Zander, Hunter, Kaylea, Tyler and Emily) for winning the championship, Wyatt Nun for winning the 6th place medal in Persuasive and Travis and Connor for winning 6th place in Duet Acting.
Overall the team finished in 5th place.
FC Track will head to their first meet tomorrow. There are no spectators, but there is a web stream provided for all events. All running events 1600
& down will be recorded & posted to the main YouTube channel the following week.

Mayor Eric Kamler presented a Key to the City to the staff at Fillmore Central and delivered a Proclamation that recognized Public Schools Week. The Proclamation read in part, "We the City of Geneva thank the entire Fillmore Central Public School Team for their contributions to our youth and community and commend each of them for their dedication and service to the City of Geneva and Fillmore County."
The Quiz Bowl team won the SNC Championship yesterday. FC-A had a stellar performance going 5-0. Team members were: Jackie S, Tyler C, Riley H, Koby H, & Ty S. FC-B battled hard & went 2-2. Team members were: Alex S, Hunter V, Aidan T, Wyatt N, Garrett N, Hallie V & Alex H.
The picture has the results of the state evaluation of the FFA Proficiency Awards. It's incredible to have this many gold rated applications in one year. Congratulations to our members! Those who are a Gold Finalist will be interviewed to determine who is 1st in the state.

Fillmore Central was the host site for the C1-4 District Speech meet on Saturday. It was an awesome day for our kids, as they brought home the District Championship and qualified 13 kids in 10 different events for state. The individuals results are in the photo.

This afternoon Garrett Nichols signed with The University of Nebraska at Kearney to run cross country and track. He intends to major in Biology while at UNK. Congratulations Garrett!
The FC Speech Team is excited to offer Speech Camp for FC Students in grades 6-8th during March. See the pictures for more details and registration forms. Registration is due Friday, March 5th.


The Mock Trial team competed against Conestoga yesterday for a spot at the state meet. This extra trial was needed after a statistical tie through the first 3 rounds of competition. Unfortunately FC came up short as Conestoga won the district title in a very close match.
Students in Environmental Science have been studying water filtration. They created their own water filters using various supplies, such as rocks and coffee filters.



Last week's Mock Trial Competition ended in a tie so FC team 1 will be competing against Conestoga this afternoon at 2:00 PM for a spot at State Mock Trial. Good Luck Panthers!
FC boys basketball played their final game of the season last night against a strong Adams Central team. AC won 74-24.
