Fillmore Central Public Schools

Today, the Omaha Street Percussion group brought an exciting burst of energy to the Rialto II Theater, where they performed for our elementary students. Using an array of buckets, drums, and recycled and repurposed objects, the performers created dynamic rhythms that captivated the audience from start to finish. Their interactive style encouraged students to clap along and feel the beat, turning the performance into a fun and engaging experience. It was a memorable event that not only entertained but also inspired creativity and appreciation for music in a unique form.

This past weekend Camden got to do some "shoutcasting" for the NSESA Spring State Esports Tournament held at Doane. Great job Camden and way to represent FC!

3rd grade finished an Embryology unit learning all about chicks. We started with dissecting an egg and looking at the inside parts. Then we got our chicks in our incubator. Half way through our 21 days we candled the eggs and looked inside them. Then after day 21 our eggs were ready to hatch! We had a lot of fun learning all about eggs and holding our chicks at the end of it all!!

Our Practical Science students wrapped up their physics unit with several hands-on projects! From slingshot cars to catapults and to an egg drop challenge, exploring the real-world physics concepts we learned.

First graders enjoyed a visit from Jon Schulte, NPPD Energy Education Leader. He introduced the students to computer programming with help from Indy, a programmable car. The students had fun making paths for Indy to travel on.
