Today was the final day for the FBLA stack the door food drive competition. Mr. Verhage's room won for the 5th straight year! They will receive homemade breakfast sandwiches on Monday. Mrs. Patterson's homeroom came in a very close second! This was one of the best years for donations that we have had! Thank you to everyone that brought food. The FBLA officers will take the food over to Blue Valley and the little pantry on Monday afterschool.

Tomorrow is the LAST day for the food drive at the HS. If you are able to donate please encourage your student to bring at least one item tomorrow. It doesn't matter what food it is as long as it's nonperishable! Donations will be taken to Blue Valley after school Monday!

Fillmore Central FFA brought in the UNL Mobile Beef Lab for agriculture education, culinary arts, and biology classes to learn about one of Nebraska's largest industries, beef cattle. Nathan Haman taught the sessions which included key points that cattle produce nutritious meat that we can digest. Plants convert sunlight into energy that we cannot digest but cattle can digest the plants with their multi-compartment stomachs. Students had the opportunity to put on an arm length glove and reach inside the steer's stomach to learn what the inside of their rumen (the largest stomach compartment) feels like. Some students were apprehensive to feel inside but several enjoyed the experience and partook in reaching in, in more than one class.

The FCHS cast & crew earned Runner-Up honors at the SNC competition on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. The contest was hosted by FCHS at the historic Rialto II Theatre. Individuals earning acting awards included: Avery Schwarz, Degan Treinen, Ayden Jackson, Austyn Nun, Adilyn Myers, Evelyn Meyers, Kendra Lauber and Eli Conway. Earning the Overall Best Acting award of the SNC was Ayden Jackson for his portrayal of Peter Pan.

🥫FCMS PRIDE Canned Food Drive will be December 1-12.
