Fillmore Central Public Schools

3rd grade finished an Embryology unit learning all about chicks. We started with dissecting an egg and looking at the inside parts. Then we got our chicks in our incubator. Half way through our 21 days we candled the eggs and looked inside them. Then after day 21 our eggs were ready to hatch! We had a lot of fun learning all about eggs and holding our chicks at the end of it all!!

Our Practical Science students wrapped up their physics unit with several hands-on projects! From slingshot cars to catapults and to an egg drop challenge, exploring the real-world physics concepts we learned.

First graders enjoyed a visit from Jon Schulte, NPPD Energy Education Leader. He introduced the students to computer programming with help from Indy, a programmable car. The students had fun making paths for Indy to travel on.

Today, the high school had their annual give back day. The afternoon consisted of community services projects around Geneva and Fairmont. Fillmore Central’s National Honor Society and Student Council organized community service projects that included, maintaining the downtown Geneva flower beds, cleaning windows, and cleaning up trash, leaves and branches at multiple homes, parks and Boys Pond.

High School Class Competitions
This morning, 9th -12th grade students competed in multiple activities to earn points for their class. Each student got to pick one activity to participate in. The activities consisted of nitro ball, volleyball, Just Dance, Esports - Smash bros, and a puzzle competition.
