The FC National Honor Society and Student Council is planning a community service give back day for the afternoon of Thursday, April 17th. If you know of a person who could use some outdoor spring cleaning or other ways our students can serve our community, please reach out to Jodi Meyer or Veronica Waldron. jodi.e.meyer@fillmorecentral.org or veronica.waldron@fillmorecentral.org We will take on projects on a first come, first serve basis.

Today the Fillmore Central personal finance class toured four homes around Geneva. Karla Jacobson of 2Ks Realty guided them through the houses pointing out various different things that they should look at when considering purchasing a home. She offered some pointers and told some cautionary tales in hopes of helping them make smart home buying decisions in the future. She also provided them with lunch!

Yearbooks for the 2024-2025 year are ON SALE NOW! This year's theme is "In Retrospect" Cost: $40 without name or $45 with name If you're interested in purchasing a yearbook, you can drop money off to any building secretary.

The fifth and sixth grade class traveled to fairgrounds last week to participate in a STEM day. STEM is a great opportunity to learn more about the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The kids participated in activities highlighting STEM concepts. Thank you to all who volunteered to help students learn more about these potential careers.

FC finished as RUNNER-UP as a team at District speech today. Individual results are listed below. Mrs. Gaston's fifth grade students competed in an essay contest where they were asked to write about their mothers. Not only did Aliyah earn the opportunity to read her essay at the capital in Lincoln she also received 1st place! This means she will compete at the National contest as well! Congratulations Aliyah! 👏

The unofficial results of the special bond election are 899 for and 589 against. We want to thank all patrons of our Fillmore Central community for putting in the time and effort to attend community meetings, share your input, and ask questions. The passing of this bond project will shape the future of our district and expand opportunities for our students.
