Jock 🏀🏈 Vs. Nerd 🤓 day at the Middle School!
The Fillmore Central Quiz Bowl went to battle on Wednesday, October 2 at the all WOMENS QUIZ BOWL, which was held in Seward. There were 19 teams in our division. The A team went 3-0 in pool play and 0-1 in tournament play. The B team went 1-2 in pool play and 4-0 in tournament play to take home the Championship of the Middle Division Competition. Congrats to them as they competed well and had a lot of GRIT as they won the final 45-40. The A team participants were: Evelyn Meyer, Peyton Komenda, and Amity Swartzendruber. The B team participants were: Ella Cook, Austyn Nun, Adilyn Myers, and Lauren Godown. All 7 of these ladies represented Fillmore Central very well. Congratulations!

Over the past month the junior high and high school volleyball players and coaches have donated their time to officiate youth volleyball for Geneva Park and Rec. Thanks for donating your time to help grow our youth sports. GO FC!
Students in the 5th grade have been studying the interactions of the Earth's Systems which include the biosphere, geosphere, atmosphere and hydrosphere. The hydrosphere includes all of the water on the Earth's surface, underground, and above ground. Wyatt Schiermeyer, with a degree in geology/hydrology, spoke with the students about glacier movement and how the Ogallala Aquifer supplies us with water.
Holiday themed dress up day for Hoco! Fifth grade - Saint Patrick's 's Day, sixth grade - Fourth of July, seventh grade - Halloween, and eighth grade was Christmas!
The Middle School students had fun wearing their pajamas to school today!
