Mrs. Patterson's personal finance class went on their house tour last week with Karla Jacobson of 2K's Realty. The students toured four homes around Geneva. After the house Molly Kassik of Northpointe Insurance and Jim Donovan of Fortify Group visited the class to talk about the ins and outs of home insurance. The following day some bankers came in to talk to the students about the financial side of the home buying process. The bankers that came to visit were Jan Stoldorf of Heartland Bank, Karrie Waldron of York State Bank, and Jennifer Asche and Adam Wallin of Cornerstone Bank.

This year the NHS/StuCo group has been organizing class competitions at the high school. Each week the freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors have been competing in various competitions to earn points. At the end of the semester, the winning class will receive a potluck meal provided by the high school staff. This week the competition was a rock, paper, scissor competition. Next week the students will be competing to be the class to have the smallest percent of their class on the ICU list.
