Tomorrow is the final day of the FBLA food drive. PLEASE remind or send your students with any nonperishable food items you can spare to contribute to the food drive as well as help their homeroom win the stack the door contest. The winning homeroom will have a choice of Casey's pizza, Jill's cinnamon rolls, or homemade breakfast sandwiches. Here is an example of a stack the door contest! (we do not use tape :) )

Assistant Custodian – Fillmore Central Middle School in Fairmont

School year hours are approximately 2p.m. – 10p.m. and summer hours are during the day.

The FC Players traveled to Milford on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 to compete in the annual Southern Nebraska Conference Play Production competition. The team was awarded 3rd place for their efforts. Individuals recognized for their efforts include:

Last week FBLA had their annual Money Smart meeting where they heard from community members that have careers that did not require a four year degree. The focus of the Money Smart meeting this year was the importance of trade/non-four year degrees to our community. The speakers offered advantages & disadvantages, life tips, and general tips about joining their profession. The Speakers included: Karla Jacobson-Fortify Group, Terri Wusk- Healing Essentials, Shelbi Palensky- Studio 81, Stephanie Bolken & Tara Rutt- York Dental. Thank you to all of these speakers for taking time out of their night to offer up some useful information and tips.
This week FBLA is sponsoring a food drive. Any non-perishable food can be brought. There are daily prizes for the homeroom with the most food in the daily theme.
Tuesday- Soup Day (any kind of canned soup)
Wednesday- Italian food (spaghetti noodles, tomato sauce, pasta, macaroni...)
Thursday- Fruit/Vegetables (any canned Fruit/vegetables)
Friday- Stack the door, homeroom with the stack of food that covers their homeroom door the best wins.
The food collected will be donated to the local food pantries prior to Thanksgiving!
