The Village of Fairmont currently has a water boil order. The breakfast and lunch menu at the Middle School will be adjusted for Monday, October 23rd. Bottled water will be available for staff and students.

KA Shiny Sharks had a special visitor this morning. Collin, who will be running at the State XC competition on Friday, shared about being a XC runner and practiced his warm up with the students. He also shared what he eats before meets, what the courses look like, the most challenging course to run, and why he loves XC.
4th grade has been talking about characteristics of birds. To celebrate their learning for the first quarter the three 4th grade classes got to dissect owl pellets.

🐾 There will be an escort out of town for XC State Qualifier, Collin McCoy, on Friday, October 20th starting at the high school at 12:00pm. 🐾
The route will take you from the school down to the main street business district and by the hospital. Come out to show your support and help send Collin off to state.

Elementary Conferences will be held at the Elementary School.
Middle School and High School Conferences will be held in the High School gym.
L Street got the opportunity once again to sing the National Anthem for a Lincoln Stars Hockey Game. 12 different members of the group got to participate in games on the ice during intermissions. Finally, after a hard fought game, L Street got to watch the Lincoln Stars bring home the Victory 4-1.
The yearbook class had the opportunity to attend the NHSPA (Nebraska High School Press Association) Fall Convention today. The students were able to attend several sessions, listen to photographers and journalists, and learn the ins and outs of journalism. Some even got to tour the College of Journalism at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
