On Friday, our Spanish 3 class had a special visitor (Vanessa's mom, Ivonne) come teach us about an authentic snack sold on the streets throughout Mexico. We learned how these "cocteles de fruta" in Mexico are prepared and served. Ivonne let us choose from the ingredients (pineapple, watermelon, jicama, mango, cucumber, lime, chamoy, and tajin) to customize our own fruit cups.
Our Spanish 4 class continued the discussion about "cocteles de fruta" during our class, and we tried the recipe on our own. It was fun to try spicy fruit!
Mrs. Schiermeyer's fifth grade science classes have been engaging in science experiments to begin the school year. This particular experiment the class investigated the mass of different items and collected data to show their observations.
