Good luck to the FC golf team today at Southern Hills in Hastings!

The golf team was at the Sutton Quad yesterday. The varsity team won the event with a score of 165. Koby was the individual champion, shooting a school record 36. Alex came in 2nd with a 37. Other varsity scores were: Riley - 46 Aidan - 46 Travis - 52 The JV squad was also able to compete yesterday. Individual scores for them included: Kellen - 49 Tyler - 50 Carson - 56 AJ - 57 Roman - 58

FCHS Honors Night is Monday, May 3rd. The night begins at 6:30 PM with National Honor Society Inductions followed by Academic, Activity, and Athletic Awards. Students' work will be displayed for viewing, including projects from their CTE and art classes.

The golf team participated in the Sandy Creek invite on Friday at the Clay Center golf course. The team came home with the second place plaque. Individual results are as follows: Alex - 2nd (76) Koby - 4th (82)

Current 1st through 6th graders are invited to attend Progressive Agriculture Safety Day on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Fillmore County Fairgrounds. Youth will participate in a variety of events designed to help them be aware of safety in potentially hazardous situations in and around rural and agricultural settings, including electricity, mental wellness, ATV safety, animal safety, food safety, etc. NE Extension hosts this event in Fillmore County, along with Shickley, Fillmore Central, Exeter-Milligan-Friend FFA chapters, 4-H, W.I.F.E. and Fillmore County Emergency Management. Early registration forms and $5 are due April 30th; forms can be downloaded at fillmore.unl.edu. After April 30th, registration is $10/youth. Panthers are heading west today. The music students are off to Sutton for District Music Competition and the varsity golf team is going to the Sandy Creek Invite. Good luck to all the Panthers competing today!

The 2021 NSAA State Track & Field Championships are right around the corner. Due to the pandemic, souvenir State Track t-shirts will not be sold at the meet. However, you can still purchase a 2021 NSAA State Track & Field t-shirt online. All pre-orders must be placed online before May 16th. Yesterday the track team competed at the Tri County Invite. The boys team placed 3rd and the girls team was 7th in team points. Individual results are available in the photo.

The golf meet at Sandy Creek scheduled for today has been postponed to a later date.

Four students from Fillmore Central Elementary won awards for their writing. Lauryn L. received second place in short stories and Emily P., Rosemary K-S., and Madelyn L. all received Honorable Mention for their short stories. We are very proud of the hard work they put in!

The HS track meet scheduled for Tuesday at Tri-County has been moved to Wednesday, April 21st. Field events will begin at 11:00 a.m. and running events will begin at 1:00 p.m. All running events will be ran as finals.

The golf team hosted their annual invite at Hidden Hills yesterday. The team was able to win their own invite with a team score of 377, which was 11 strokes better than runner-up Sandy Creek. Individual medalists were: Alex 1st place 82 Koby 3rd place 89 Riley 7th place 99

The golf team was in action on Friday at Friend. The team had a good day as they finished runner up to Milford, losing the team race 383 to 379. Individual results are as follows: Alex - 81 - tied for 1st Koby - 84 - 3rd Riley - 104 - 17th Aidan - 114 Travis - 116

Today was FC Beef Booster Burgers for lunch. It was a beautiful morning for our staff to grill over 400 burgers. This is a favorite meal of both students and staff. Thank you FC Beef Boosters for all the delicious meat you provide for us!
