Today FCHS FFA is hosting a blood drive with the Red Cross in the multipurpose room. The golf team will be hitting the greens at York starting at 4:00PM for a triangular. Go Panthers!

The track teams participated in the Fairbury meet on Saturday. The boys team finished in 7th place while the girls finished in 12th place. Boys highlights included: 800M - De 2nd 1600M - Garrett 2nd 4 x 400 M relay 1st (De, Garrett, Hunter, Aiden H) Shot Put - Connor 2nd

The golf team kicked off their season last night with a home triangular with Sutton & Superior. The varsity team won the dual: FC (179), Sutton (225) & Superior (251). Alex came in 1st with a 37 (tied for the best 9 hole score in FC history) and Koby came in 2nd with a 39 (tied for 5th best 9 hole score in FC history). Riley came in 4th with a 47.

Today was a busy day at FCHS! First there were sausage breakfast sandwiches. Then 9th & 10th graders took MAPS tests while 11th graders took the ACT. The seniors went to York to bowl & had lunch at Kerry's. There was an activity fair for 8th graders to learn about HS groups.

Mrs. Biba's 9th Grade FCS Class has been busy. They made masks for their sewing project. They also enjoyed creating cereal bowl burritos in class and eating them.

Order track and field store items through Hauff Sports. https://hauffsports.chipply.com/FCtf/ The store closes Sunday March 28th at midnight. This is online only. It costs $10 to ship to house or free shipping to school. The gear will be mailed out no later than April 9th.

Today students in FC's physical fitness classes participated in the Army Combat Physical Fitness Test. The Hand-Release Push-up challenge ended in a tie between Aidan T & Jake S who each completed 62 in 2 minutes. The Standing Power Throw was also a tie between Connor A. & Koby H. at 13 meters. Jake S. completed the Spring-Drag-Carry in 50 seconds. The last item was a plank challenge which was won by Jackson T. with a plank lasting 10:02. The students were all sore and busy comparing scores after completing the challenge. The Army National Guard provided 4 staff to come demonstrate and help monitor the events.

Yesterday was an awesome day for the FC Speech team at the NSAA state meet. FC was able to bring home 4 medals, which included 2 state championships! Congratulations to Wyatt Nun for winning the C1 Extemporaneous event, the OID Pirates team (Zander, Hunter, Kaylea, Tyler and Emily) for winning the championship, Wyatt Nun for winning the 6th place medal in Persuasive and Travis and Connor for winning 6th place in Duet Acting. Overall the team finished in 5th place.

Mayor Eric Kamler presented a Key to the City to the staff at Fillmore Central and delivered a Proclamation that recognized Public Schools Week. The Quiz Bowl team won the SNC Championship yesterday. FC-A had a stellar performance going 5-0. Team members were: Jackie S, Tyler C, Riley H, Koby H, & Ty S. FC-B battled hard & went 2-2. Team members were: Alex S, Hunter V, Aidan T, Wyatt N, Garrett N, Hallie V & Alex H.
